Taxicab idling halfway on the sidewalk
In order to dodge suspicion
you must first practise dodging the bullet
Shot halfway across the classroom
giant wad of spit
An impressive distance for a mouth with not much drive
Keep writing upside down and backwards
The right ones
will hold a mirror while sitting on their heads
Seeds nurturing a better language
Plant thorn bushes for the teenagers
Lavender for the lovers
Orchids for mothers day
/Or unforgiven apologies /
Grass for your father to cut
Plastic bouquets are for the dead or the dying
/There’s already enough shit decaying here/
Like grapes to raisins
We should rid each other of our juices
A call to normalize orgies
in airplanes
And elevators
Bodies like gas chambers
On another planet
they look up and call us stars
On this planet
they keep advertising the finding of the spark on reality TV
/Not sure who profits off the aftermath/
On another planet
they look up and call us supernovas
On this planet
the taxi driver fell asleep behind the wheel
lucky the curb was there to hold him
A Mother to a child
whose main concern
is still the question
of being fed
